Construction of One (1) Prefabricated 10,000 Sq. Ft. Warehouse

Shelby County wishes to engage the Vendor(s) selected through a competitive process that will work well with the County’s personnel in the performance of the Goods/Services, in a cost-effective manner, and applying the SCG M/WBE Ordinances (if applicable). The intent of this request is for Shelby County Government to construct one (1) metal prefabricated warehouse. The warehouse will be on property located at approximately 6399 Haley Road, Memphis, Tennessee for Shelby County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (SCEMHS) Department/Office.

Exterior:

26-gauge Galvalume Metal Building to match color and design adjacent warehouse at 6393 Haley Rd.

Colors: Desert Sand Panels with Burnished Slate Trim.

Structural: Red iron open span sized to code requirements

Interior:

Roof: R-38 Insulation

Walls: R-19 Insulation with Galvalume corrugated wainscot liner panels covering the lower half or the interior walls

Foundation / Slab:

Poured concrete slab: 4,000 psi limestone concrete 6” in depth reinforced with #4 rebar tied 12” on center.

Turn Down Footers with piers.

Poured concrete parking pad on north side connecting to the existing concrete pad. 4,000 psi limestone concrete 6” depth reinforced with #4 rebar tied 12” on center.

                Paved areas:

                                North: (between pad and Haley Rd.)

                                East: area between new and existing warehouse

                                West: Paved over existing gravel

                                South: Paved over existing gravel and behind new warehouse

HVAC:

Four (4) gas furnaces mounted in each corner (sized per code requirements)

Six (6) 48”x48” louvers power ventilation fans

Three (3) High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) fans 16’ each with separate controllers

Entry/Exit:

Two (2) motorized overhead doors located on the North and South walls. Size: Hight 14’ Width 20’

Two (2) metal 3070 main doors located on the North and South walls.

 

Plumbing/Restrooms:

One (1) unisex restroom size: 8’x8’ to include toilet sink and water heater and wall heater.

One (1) outside frost free hose bib located near the north the front of the building.

One (1) inside floor drain near the front of the building approx. 20 feet from the front entrance.

Lighting/Electrical:

LED high bay overhead interior lighting (16 fixtures)

Exit lights.

Emergency headlights

Exterior lighting on the North (front) side of the building with photocell.

Security cameras (one exterior/two interior) PTZ cameras with hardware mounted in a cabinet near the electrical panel.

Entry alarm system on all doors.

 

Fencing:

Security fencing removed between the new and existing warehouse. 8’ commercial grade chain-link fencing to the new building on the north side. Post to set 10’ on center. Additionally, fence to be installed connecting the south fence to the southeast corner of the new building.
