TCAT Improvements - West Region Automotive Building

Addendum #4 has been issued. Please see attached. The Bid opening has been postponed.

Please send me the name of your Bid Day Representative by Monday June 15, 2020 so I may turn their name into JSCC security for access to Campus.

• 1. Campus will be open to visitors beginning June 1st.
• 2. Visitors will enter from the one designated drive entrance on North Parkway.
• 3. A guard/campus police officer will be stationed at the gate. Visitor’s name will need to be on a previously approved list. Please send name of personnel that will be visiting Campus by Monday, June 15, 2020.

• 4. Social Distancing will be maintained, and Masks will be mandatory inside all buildings.
• 5. The Foundation Board Room in the Student Center will be used for this meeting. The guard/campus police officer will give directions to the parking lot, building and the door they will need to enter. If for any reason the location is changed, the guard/campus police officer will direct all bid participants to the correct location. If delivering in person, please bring your Bid envelopes to this room.
• 6. Once inside, bid participants will be asked to answer a list of health-related questions.
• 7. If there should be any change in these plans, the guard/campus police officer will be able to redirect you and your bidders.

The Pre-Bid is open to all General Contractors and their Subs. The meeting will be help in the Learning Center in the James King Administration Building. Direct access to the Center will be provided from an exterior door and you will not enter the main building. The Center will have chair and table placement set up for social distancing. Masks will be required inside the Center and while inside all Campus Facilities during the Site Tour. Please bring your own pen for sign-in process.

Interested contractors, subcontractors and suppliers will be allowed to visit the campus during the scheduled pre-bid meeting only. Additional site visits may not be available to interested Contractor or Subcontractors, depending on the Campus’s Schedule.

• A. Scope of Work includes 3 Phases. Phase 1 concerns the Construction of a new Automotive
  Building to include all associated site work, septic system, classrooms, workshops, offices, common
  areas and restrooms. Phase 2 concerns the renovations to the existing West Classroom Wing and associated site work. Phase 3 (ALT NO 1) concerns the renovations to the existing East Classroom Wing and new canopies for the Auto and Welding programs. Work will be performed on the
  Main Campus of TCAT- Crump located at 3070 US-64, Crump, Tennessee.
• B. Daily cleaning of the facility in the areas of construction will be required to the satisfaction of the Owner’s Representative, as Classes will remain in session during the entire construction process.
• C. All construction employees must have identification badges from their employing contractor while on site and a sign-in roster will be required for control.
• D. Smoking is not permitted within building structures, construction area or within 50 feet of the building. Smoking is permitted within personal vehicles.
• E. Parking should be coordinated with Campus prior to Construction. The Drawings indicate a
  general Construction parking and staging area. If more parking area is needed the Contractor will
  have to coordinate that with his subs as parking within identified staff and student area will not be
  allowed. There is no “on street” parking allowed in this area.
