City of Tutwiler Project - Blues Park Walking Trail Phase 1A Package

Bid Information:

Sealed bids will be received at City Hall – City of Tutwiler – City Clerk located at 201 Tallahatchie Avenue; Tutwiler, Mississippi 38963, until 12:00 PM (Noon), June 23, 2023, for furnishing the City of Tutwiler with the following:

FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF: Blues Park Walking Trail – Phase 1A, 187 North Second; Tutwiler, MS 38963.

Pre-Bid Information:

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on June 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at 187 North Second Street (at the park site); Tutwiler, MS 38963. All parties interested in bidding on this project are hereby invited and urged to attend this meeting. Failure to attend the pre-bid meeting will can count against said "good faith effort" as required by the M/WBE program.

Examination of Site:

Before submitting a bid, the bidder shall personally visit the site of proposed work and arrive at a clear understanding of the conditions under which the work is to be performed. No consideration will be allowed subsequently by reason of error or oversight on the part of the bidder or on account of interference by either the City or existing conditions. Neglecting any of the above requirements will not be acceptable as reason for delay in the work or for adjustments of the contract sum. Bidders must notify the City of Tutwiler, City Clerk at 662-375-4646 in advance of making any Site Visits to the Project Site.

Project Description:

Work under this contract will include:

1. Base Bid: Project consists of the following scope of work: demolition of the existing site elements as labeled on the Demolition Plan such as, but not limited to: foundations, utilities, concrete paving, fencing, gravel areas, trees, signage, and other elements as noted, construction of one construction entryway which access Holly Street, as well as the construction of a concrete walking trail which includes color concrete paving in key areas, trail markings within the trail surface, site grading, irrigation sleeving, and erosion control measures. All demolition debris will be removed from the site and disposed on in a legal manner. The site once free of all construction debris and walking trail installed, there will be sodding and seeding per the drawings. This project also requires obtaining all necessary city, county, regional and state permits for installation.

2. Alternates: The project includes seven (7) Add Alternates. The Add Alternates include: 1.) Totlot/Playground, 2.) Irrigation System 3.) Signage Icons Blues Singers, 4.) Landscaping (Trees), 5.) Concrete Paving & Entry Gate @ Library,6.) Site Furnishings, 6.) 7.) Basketball Courts.
