Bids will be received and time-stamped at the Designer’s office on or before the Bid Date. The Bid opening will occur via a MicroSoft Teams video conference meeting on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.
Meeting invitation will be issued to Bidders.

Pre-Bid Information
A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. local time at Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Memphis. Address is 550 Alabama Avenue, Memphis, TN 38105.

A. The Designer, in cooperation with the Owner and Campus, will schedule and administer a Pre-Bid Meeting prior to the Bid Date for prospective bidders.

B. Representatives of the Owner, Designer and Campus will attend.

C. Attendance is not mandatory as a prerequisite to submit a bid for this project but is strongly encouraged.

D. Interested contractors, subcontractors and suppliers will be allowed to visit the campus during the scheduled pre-bid meeting only. Additional site visits may not be available to interested Contractor or Subcontractors, depending on the Campus’s Schedule.

E. Refer to Section 00 11 16 – Invitation to Bid for the date of Pre-Bid Conference. Any changes will be issued via an Addendum.

Additional Site Investigation Instructions

A. Access to the Site:
1. The Contractor shall contact the Designer in writing to schedule a site visit for investigations beyond the Summary of Work reviewed at the Pre-Bid Conference.

a. Provide minimum (3) days written notice to Designer to schedule the investigation.
b. Provide details of the intended investigation.

B. PROTECTION AND/OR REPLACEMENT OF CONTIGUOUS ITEMS

1. Contractor shall repair and/ or replace all contiguous items and other items which are disturbed, broken, removed or otherwise damaged during the site investigation.
2. Existing construction damaged during the investigation shall be replaced with materials, methods and design of the original construction.

Scope of Work

1) New Parking Lot: Construct new parking lot at the corner of Alabama Avenue and Mosby Avenue. Work must be complete prior to beginning work around new building to allow migration of student/ public parking.

2) New Building: Site work and construction of new building will occur after New Parking Lot is useable.

3) Administration Building Renovation: Renovation work to the Cosmetology and Barbering programs can be performed any time during project time during campus approved work hours. Coordinate construction schedule with campus prior to beginning work.
