Bid Information:
Separate sealed BIDS for SECURITY FENCING will be received until 2:00 P.M. local time, Monday, January 16th, 2023 at Covington Municipal Airport, 169 Airport Parkway Drive, Covington, TN 38019. BIDS will then be publicly opened and read aloud. BIDS received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Contractors wanting to attend the bid opening virtually should send an email to Ben Malone (Ben.Malone@bargedesign.com) no later than 4:00 P.M. local time, Friday, January 13th, 2023 requesting a virtual meeting invitation. The Virtual Bid-Opening option will be conducted using the Microsoft Teams platform.
Scope of work, contract time, and liquidated damages are as follows:
SECURITY FENCING
Contract time of THIRTY (30) calendar days
Liquidated damages are set at $1000.00 per calendar day that the project remains incomplete after the specified completion time
Bid Requirements, Contract Forms and Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings may be examined at the following:
1. Barge Design Solutions, Inc., 65 Germantown Court, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38018, (901) 755-7166.
2. Covington Municipal Airport, 169 Airport Parkway Drive, Covington, TN 38019, (901) 476-1392.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be purchased from Barge Design Solutions, Inc., at a non-refundable cost of $100.00 per set. Checks for copies of the Bidding Documents shall be made payable to Barge Design Solutions, Inc, 65 Germantown Court, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38018.
The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all BIDS, to waive any formalities or irregularities in the BIDS received, and to accept the BID which is deemed most favorable to the OWNER at the time and under the conditions stipulated.
Pre-Bid Information:
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 P.M. local time, Tuesday, January 10th, 2023. Attendance at this conference by the prime contractor is strongly encouraged. Contractors wanting to attend should notify Ben Malone (Ben.Malone@bargedesign.com) no later than 4:00 P.M. local time, Monday, January 9th, 2023. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held on-site at Covington Municipal Airport.
